In this employee spotlight, we highlight the one and only Gerald Overshiner. Gerald is Vice President of Customer Relations at IDS and acts as the head liaison between IDS and our customers. With his deep knowledge of logistics and operations, he works to keep customers current on information, help them better understand IDS operations and make them feel comfortable as a partner of IDS.
Gerald has over 15 years of experience in logistics and operations that he brings to this role. He has a vast well of experience to tap having consulted for organizations in various industries for years before rejoining IDS. At IDS Gerald has led numerous projects to optimize fulfillment operations. Under his guidance, IDS has been able to greatly improve in order accuracy and order fulfillment time.
In his personal life, Gerald enjoys time in the outdoors or with his family. “On the weekends, I’m usually relaxing with friends and family. We love going boating and camping, I enjoy sharing new adventures with my wife and kids! To me, sitting around a fire with friends and family is a perfect way to relax and unwind. Last year I turned 50 and became a grandpa within a couple of months. I’m sure eventually I’ll slow down with the dad jokes, but for now, still a good source of entertainment for ME.”
